Belz and Whistles

…of approval tonight at RAC, where local poet (and avid arts supporter) Aaron Belz will be reading from his book The Bird Hoverer.

Much has already been said about Aaron, who will be sorely missed when he leaves St. Louis this summer for a teaching position in LA. But as for my opinion, The Bird Hoverer is really great. Even should one buy a copy only because one felt rather obligated, it’s still immensely enjoyable- always thoughtful and occasionally laugh-randomly-on-a-park-bench funny. And Belz in person is even more enjoyable than printed Belz, so you should go.

Also, Aaron said that there will be free wine. Hopefully it will be red colored.
