New Look

Yes indeed, I changed the look of my website yet again.

(If you’re reading this via syndication, check it out.) I was craving something simpler.

Like many people, I’ve always liked the Hemingway theme for Wordpress. However, neither it, nor many of the variants, included top navigation, which is a must for me so visitors can easily find my gallery. Until I found the wonderful HemingwayEx, by Nalin Makar.

I wasn’t so crazy about the yellow at first, as yellow isn’t my favorite color, but I wasn’t able to decide what I wanted to change it to, and now it’s growing on me. Thoughts?

The theme is excellent for me so far. No issues at all, and thus far I’ve been able to do all my customization in the widgets and pages, without touching anything else, a luxury I haven’t encountered before. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the footer doesn’t look as nice in IE because the background blocks don’t seem to be displaying, and I haven’t yet delved into exactly why that is, but it’s a minor thing. And, er, no surprise… something looks bad in IE? Say it isn’t so.

So what do we think? Feedback? Suggestions?
